Pat on the Back
- Chris Hoskins:
Kansas State Highway Patrol Training Academy
| "Over the last couple of weeks we have been taking classes at the Kansas State Highway Patrol Training Academy in Salina, Kansas. During this time period we have had the occasion to enjoy a few meals at the Academy dining hall. We would just like to extend our compliments to the food service staff. Every meal was excellent and the staff was extremely pleasant. They do an excellent job and made our training experience more enjoyable." |
Sincerely,
Students of the North American Standards Level I Training Class |
- Robert Lattin:

| "Thank you for the breakfast and lunches that you fixed for the choir when we left on our tour. You always have the food ready for us whenever we go out. Keep up the good work in your thankless job. Thanks again," |
In Christ,

- Carolyn Blackburn:
Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center
| "It never fails! We present a challenge and you meet it with no complaint. The University Chancellor's Tour Group were just delighted with the lunch served today and by the great team you have working in the kitchen. Of course, knowing you all like we do, we expected no less!
Thank you for again going that extra mile for us in our effort to present KLETC at its best. We may be partial (probably not) but we think we have the cleanest kitchen facility - the finest menu choices - and the best food service team for miles around! You are not thanked enough (my fault) for your efforts but know even though it seems we are ungrateful - we are not!" |

People Development Incentives
We are looking for Manager Trainees!
Qualifications:
- Prefer a person who has cooking skills or past food management experience.
- Appearance should be neat and tidy.
- Should be able to communicate well.
- Should have indications of being intelligent.
- Willing to be trained in production areas.
- Willing to relocate outside of the state of their residence.
- Preferable areas: Missouri, Texas, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma.
- Has ambition to grow into a management position.
How do you find these people?
First, look inside your own facilities.
Second, look at people that apply for positions, ones who answer ads or even walk-ins. Sometimes people who simply walk-in for an application are showing strong signs that they need employment. Even if you do not have a position open, extend the courtesy of a few minutes of conversation.
- From that, you can determine if the person communicates well and has indications of intelligence and is neat in appearance.
- From the conversation, if you see some possibilities, do not make a commitment, but forward the resume to the corporate office, with a brief note attached.
Lastly, you may have knowledge of a good person working for another establishment. Seek out this individual, talk briefly with him/her to see if there is any interest that they may want to grow. Then set up a formal interview time to get a good read on the person to see if he/she meets the qualifications. If the person does, send the resume to the home office and an official interview will be set up.
